Spicy Tuna Fish

Spicy Tuna Fish

Prep Time: 30 minutes      Level of Difficulty: Avergae      Serves: 1-2 persons

For the fish marination:
3 cardamom pods
½ tsp coriander powder
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp roasted curry powder
1 tsp crushed black pepper
½ tsp chilly powder
½ tsp chilly flakes
1 green chilly
1 cinnamon stick
2 garlic cloves
2 goraka (black tamarind)
½ tsp salt

For the dish:
100g tuna fish
1 red onion, sliced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 sprig of curry leaves
1 pandanus leaf
1 tbsp oil
100ml water

Cooking Directions
For the marination:
•          Soak the goraka in water for 10 minutes.
•          In a food processer combine all ingredients and make a paste.

For the dish:
• Marinate the tuna fish with the paste.
• Heat oil in a clay pot or a heavy bottom pan.
• Add the curry leaves, pandanus leaves, onion and garlic.
• Add the marinated fish and cook on slow flame for 2-3 minutes.
• Add water and let it simmer till the fish is cooked.
