Wakrah beach clean-up drive scheduled for Thursday

As part of the third edition of the Waste Free Environment (WFE) regional campaign initiated by the Gulf Petrochemical and Chemicals Association (GPCA), a public clean-up drive will be held on Thursday, February 26, at the Al Wakrah beach, from 9am to 11.30am, the Gulf Times has reported.
The WPE campaign runs across the GCC, and is designed to “raise awareness raise awareness among the public on the need to preserve the environment and reduce the irresponsible disposal of waste”. On Thursday, a variety of clean-up activities is scheduled to take place across 18 location across GCC, as well as in Europe and India, the report states.
