Traffic violations in Qatar drop by 12.9% in June as compared to the month of May
In its latest edition of the Qatar Monthly Statistics, the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics has reported a 12.9% decrease in the number of traffic violations for the month of June as compared to the previous month. The total traffic violations accounted for 126,503 in June 2015.
The bulletin also highlights that the vehicles registered in June reached 9,933 compared to 9,853 in last May, with a negative month-on-month change amounting to 0.8% compared to last May.
Other figures published in the report included Qatar’s population that reached 2.345 million at the end of June – a rise of 9.0% compared to June 2014, when population attained 2.152 million. Visitors to Qatar increased by 7.3% in June 2015 versus the same of period of 2014. Visitors from GCC countries made up the highest proportion (40.7%) of total visitors.
