Six new primary health centres to open in 2015
Announcing its latest expansion plans, the Primary Health Care Centre has said it will be opening six new primary health centres in the country this year. These centres will be located in Al Karana, Al Ghwaireya, Al Roda, Rawdat Al Khail, Al Ebb and Umm Salal.
In addition, a few health centres would start operating round the clock, seven days a week, according to a report in the Gulf Times. Last week, Mesaimeer Health Centre announced its extended working hours.
With the increasing population in Qatar, existing health centres are struggling to accommodate new patients. Read our earlier report here. As a result, the PHCC has been continuously adding new health centres across various locations in the country to meet the growing demands for healthcare services.
