Remember to fully charge your devices before you fly from HIA
The Hamad International Airport recently announced a set of enhanced security procedures that passengers would have to adhere to. These include switching on all electronic devices during security check, failing which you will not be allowed to carry them on board.
A circular citing the new security regulations have been passed on to travel agents in Qatar. It states:
At the Airport Security Check, your Hand-Baggage will be screened and you will also be required to walk through a metal detector. You shall be asked to switch on all Electronic/Battery operated items that you are carrying – mobiles, tablets, laptops, etc.
Hence please ensure that all such devices are fully charged to avoid any discomfort at the airport. If you fail to switch them on, you may not be allowed to carry them on board. So it is advised that you bring your charging cables with you.
So the next time you travel, make sure your electronic gadgets are fully charged.
