QTA invites residents to help create Qatar’s ‘destination brand’ identity

QTA invites residents to help create Qatar’s ‘destination brand’ identity

The Qatar Tourism Authority has launched a new campaign – My Qatar – inviting residents to help shape Qatar’s image as an attractive tourist destination.

QTA is in the process of creating a destination brand for Qatar, and this exercise is a step in that direction. QTA has also referred to some of the most popular destination brands around the world (including Malaysia, India, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai), to see which of these holds most appeal.

You can have your say by clicking on this link and offering your suggestion through a series of questions. One lucky contributor stands a chance to win a luxury holiday package in Qatar for a maximum of four guests.

According to figures released by QTA earlier this year, there has been a 13% increase in the number of tourists from GCC countries and a 10% increase in the number of international tourists in 2012. Meanwhile the tourism revenue from all 4-star and 5-star hotels amounted to QR3.168 billion last year.
