Qatar Airways to launch Amsterdam-Doha route on June 16
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, unveiled the five-star airline’s vision for its latest new destination – Amsterdam, highlighting the multiple benefits the new route will offer.
The Amsterdam-Doha route will start on 16th June 2015 and will operate six times per week with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The new passenger services will further complement Qatar Airways’ existing freighter services to Amsterdam, boosting capacity by 10 per cent.
Flights will be departing from Amsterdam mid-afternoon arriving in Doha late evening and will not only give passengers the convenience and flexibility of reaching the Qatari capital, but also of connecting to more than 140 destinations through the state-of-the-art Hamad International Airport, the airline’s Doha-hub. The return flight to Amsterdam will leave Doha in the morning arriving into Amsterdam in early afternoon.
“As an airline, we are always looking for new opportunities to grow and expand our worldwide network,” said Mr. Al Baker. “Amsterdam is a major capital, one of the busiest airports in Europe, and one of the most popular tourism destinations in the world. We have been pursuing the opportunity to open this new route for some time and I am pleased to have achieved our ambition. We have high expectations for the new Amsterdam-Doha flight with many passengers already booked on our new flights.”[boxify cols_use =”1″ cols =”1″ position =”none” order =”none” box_spacing =”10″ padding =”10″ background_color =”#3c3c3c” border_style =”solid” ]
