Price of 22-carat gold drops further in Qatar
Now is probably the best time to invest in gold. Jewellery stores across Qatar have reported a drastic drop in price of the yellow metal for this week.
According to a report in Gulf Times, the price of 22carat gold stands at QR125 per gram – the lowest in the last five years. This is a further reduction from the price that it was sold during Eid, at QR135 per gram.
However, the low prices will not remain for long. Jewellery store managers predict the metal to reach its original price by next month, which ranges from QR135-QR140 per gram.
A majority of gold buyers comprise Asian expatriates, who buy gold and jewellery for their family back home, the report further adds. Furthermore, many expatriates also consider gold to be the safest form of investment.
