Office productivity in MENA is higher at the end of the year despite the holiday season
At least 27.7% employees in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region consider office productivity to be highest at this time of the year, when compared to the rest of the year, according to a Bayt.com survey.
This could be attributed to the boost in morale that employees generally experience at the year-end, the survey reveals. In fact, 38.7% respondents considered employee morale to be at ‘an all time high’ as compared to the rest of the year, according to the ‘Holidays in the Middle East and North Africa’ survey published in Zawya.com.
When asked about the best end-of-year perk to receive, nearly half the respondents (49%) agreed on a salary raise. Meanwhile, 18.9% said a cash bonus; 17% wanted a paid time-off; and 11.3% considered an office party as a good perk to end the year with. Only 3.7% want to receive gift cards.
