MOI launches video conferencing service for family visa interviews
The next time you apply for family visa, you don’t have to drive up to the General Directorate of Nationality, Borders and Expatriate Affairs headquarters in Madinat Khalifa.
The Ministry of Interior has launched a new video conferencing service enabling applicants to attend interviews with the Recruitment Committee from any of the service centres in their neighbourhood, according to a report in The Peninsula. (Read full report here.)
For now, this service is available only at Mesaimeer service centre, but will soon be expanded to other centres.
Only those earning a minimum of QR7,000 per month are eligible to apply for a family visit visa, while those earning QR10,000 per month can apply for a family residence visa.
