HIA to stop free long-term parking soon
Passengers availing the free long-term parking facility at Hamad International Airport may soon have to pay a fee.
According to a report in Gulf Times, the airport have plans to set up booths for payment of parking fees. As of now, the long-term parking facility stands free of cost, and can accommodate about 2,400 vehicles. Passengers leaving their vehicles behind can be transferred to the airport by buses that come to the six air-conditioned stops in the parking area every 15 to 20 minutes.
Earlier this month, there were also talks of introducing valet parking facility at the airport that would be highly beneficial to frequent fliers.
