Heritage Carnival at Katara begins today
Katara Cultural Village will be hosting a heritage carnival and bazaar starting today at 4pm. The festival is aimed at showcasing the national identity and heritage of Qatar, and will run until the end of March from 10am to 10pm daily, Gulf Times has reported.
According to the report, a variety of programme has been scheduled throughout the festival. These include song and dance shows by different folklore troupes from Qatar and other countries such as Turkey, Jordan and Mexico as well as acrobatics, circus and theatrical performances. In addition, special competitions will be held for the public, while a dedicated play zone has been organised for children. Organisers have also announced a bazaar showcasing locally made handicrafts, traditional gifts and dishes that will be open to public during the festival.
