‘Energy World – Qatar 2015’ attracted over 22000 visitors from across Qatar
‘Energy World – Qatar 2015’ successfully concluded on Saturday with more than 22,000 visitors participating in the 10-day interactive educational experience.
Held for the first time in Qatar and the MENA region, ‘Energy World – Qatar 2015’ took people of all ages on an exciting journey into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). The event featured a lively mix of physical and digital exhibits, workshops and science shows encouraging everyone to ‘explore, make and learn.’
Over 5000 students, from 120 schools across Qatar attended ‘Energy World – Qatar 2015’ to explore and learn more about STEM in a fun and innovative way. The event challenged students with fun STEM-themed interactive activities and innovative energy questions to discover what type of innovator they are – Designer, Engineer, Connector, Inventor or Adventurer.
Commenting on the success of ‘Energy World – Qatar 2015’, Rob Sherwin, General Manager Corporate Affairs and Deputy Country Chairman of Shell companies in Qatar said: “We are proud to have brought this world-class science experience to Qatar, which is aimed at encouraging young people to study STEM subjects in higher education.
