Angry Birds activity park opening soon in Qatar

The Mall of Qatar has announced the opening of an Angry Birds Activity Park for families and children – the first of its kind in the Middle East. Visitors to this park will have a chance to play and interact with some of their favourite Angry Birds characters.

The first game released in 2009. With the games phenomenal success, the developers launched several versions after that: such as Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space, Angry Birds Friends, Angry Birds Star Wars, etc.
Though the first in the region, Angry Birds theme parks have been opened in other prime locations across the globe such as Finland, the US, UK, China, Spain and Russia.

The Activity Park is one of the three major attractions that makes up the Family Entertainment Centre (FEC) of the mall.

The other two attractions include Juniverse ­– an innovative indoor edutainment and activity theme park catering to children between 2-13 years. Children will be led into an interactive “new universe” packed with lively characters.

Meanwhile, Virtuocity is built on a concept that merges the virtual world with the real world. Motor sports and flight simulator rides are some of their offerings, and is open to teens and adults both. A new application is also being developed for Android and IOS that will enable visitors to connect with Virtuocity digitally as well.

The Mall of Qatar is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2015. The mall is located at the intersection of Al Rayyan Highway and Celebration Road, adjacent to the Al Rayyan Sports Club.
