Aim, click and report traffic violations on Metrash 2 app
It’s the service the entire country has been waiting for. Take a photo of a traffic violation and report it to the authorities.
Take a picture of the car driving over a pavement or taking the hard shoulder, and submit it to the Ministry of Interior on its Metrash2 app. An update on the Metrash 2 app for smart devices now has the option of submitting photos of violations and sending them directly to concerned authorities. To do so, one can log in to the app, go to General Services and select Take Photo.
Some reactions on the Twitter account of the Ministry of Interior show Metrash 2 users hoping to use this service to highlight the already precarious driving culture in Qatar. It was reported earlier this week that 12.5% of deaths in Qatar happen due to car crashes.
The General Services of the Metrash 2 app can be used to report lost documents and objects, to look for locations and take pictures. The app is available for all smart phones in English and Arabic.
MoI has also released this video, announcing the service.
