INJAZ works with young children to prepare them for a professional life. Volunteers and other employees of INJAZ achieve this by creating programmes related to entrepreneurship, work readiness, financial literacy to empower young people to build and improve their skills in many areas. INJAZ seeks the help of corporate volunteers to deliver their courses and mentor young students. They are usually placed in orientation programs before they can begin teaching. As a youth social group, Mission20 focuses on fundraising as well as raising awareness about charitable causes. The aim of the organisation is to help the youth understand how they can play a significant role in the community they live in. Reach Out to Asia (ROTA)
Reach Out to Asia’s primary goal is to impart quality education for young children at the primary and secondary school levels throughout Asia and the Middle East. The organisation has identified ten countries so far which require immediate help. These include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, Occupied Palestinian Territories and Syria. ROTA’s Volunteer Programme welcomes individuals from all cultural and professional backgrounds to dedicate their time and efforts to one-time as well as ongoing events; international trips to countries requiring help are also part of this programme. Hope Qatar is a private, non-profit training centre which provides Help, Opportunities, Participation and Education to children with special needs, which HOPE is an acronym for. The centre seeks volunteers for various support roles. To apply for a volunteer position, simply submit this form online.
If you care for our environment and have a burning passion to raise awareness in the Qatar community about sustainability issues, Sustainable Qatar offers you the opportunity to make a real difference in this area. Sustainable Qatar is an independent volunteer-run organisation, which helps raise awareness about the environment through its weekly meetings. A number of volunteer positions in both leadership and membership roles are available. These include Secretary, Treasurer, Community Outreach, WebMaster and others. Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC)
Qatar Green Building Council aims to increase awareness and knowledge of green building practices among residents in Qatar. Individuals can support the sustainability cause by volunteering at single-day events to serving on the Council’s various committees, to helping out on marketing, membership, event support and administration, which speaks to your strengths. Dhreima – Qatar Orphan Foundation
Dhreima cares for children of unknown parentage and aims to accommodate them in foster families. It is, however, a temporary rehabilitation centre, and not a permanent one. So children remain under Dhreima’s care until they can be rehabilitated and returned to their original environment. Individuals can volunteer for a number of positions such as data entry, teaching, childcare, design & graphics, video documentation etc. To apply as a volunteer, fill out the online application form and submit it to Dhreima.
Qatar Animal Welfare Society (QAWS)
In response to Qatar’s increasing need for an animal shelter, QAWS, a purpose-built animal care facility was established. It runs through donations from community members and with the support of volunteers who care for these animals by feeding them, cleaning and socializing, spending time with them as well as advertising the shelter. The Youth Company
The Youth Company is a social enterprise which aims to empower the youth in Qatar through a number of educational, volunteering, career-oriented, consulting and rewarding programmes. These programs are organised within both the public and private sectors and consist of activities related to entrepreneurship, internships, training in various areas and volunteer programmes. Qatar Volunteers comprise a group of active residents who regularly organises several activities throughout the year such as blood donation drives, beach cleanup trips, disaster relief efforts and others. It operates primarily through Facebook, visit their page to learn more.
Social Development Centre (SDC)
The SDC offers programmes to support families, help people build their careers as well as other guidance programs. They also initiate campaigns and offer loans to help families that have been affected by natural disasters. To volunteer, fill out the application form and send it to SDC.
Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS)
The Qatar Red Crescent Society assists and empowers communities in need, regardless of their nationality or religion. It organises a number of initiatives related to disaster management, health care, social welfare and institutional capacity building projects. It welcomes individuals who are enthusiastic and are interested in community work to participate in a number of activities such as first aid dissemination, prevention and basic health, health education & sanitation, environmental protection, organising competitions and workshops for disabled children, and in other areas. Volunteers are required to commit to at least 3 months of service and to be reliable and professional at all times.
