Ministry shuts down Range Rover showroom in Qatar
Yet another showroom has been shut down by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce. This time it’s the Range Rover showroom of Al Fardan Premier Motors in Al Sadd area who face a charge of trying to sell faulty vehicles to customers.
According to a report in The Peninsula, the Ministry has issued closure of the showroom for a month stating: “The reason for the closure is that the car dealers tried to cheat buyers for trying to sell repaired vehicles as new. The closure decision is in line with Article 18 of Law No 8, 2008”.
The ministry began its crackdown on vehicle dealers since December 2014 during which a total of four showrooms have faced closure, including the recent Range Rover.
