Find Your Treasure Competition
treasure-748x700Every Thursday and Friday evening after Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan, Katara will be organising a Treasure competition at the Cultural Village. The treasure will be hidden in one of the 10 boxes that will be placed in certain locations. Get to the kiosk in front of building 15 with your treasure box to find out if you’re the lucky winner of QR5,000.

Katara Stars
katara starsA photography opportunity to take pictures of your friends, family or even a selfie. Fastathon 2014
Screen Shot 2014-07-02 at 10.05.53 AMFast-a-thon is an annual charity initiative organised by Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall, the proceedings of which will be donated to the African people in need. The event encourages non-Muslims to register, attend the orientation and fast for a single day. On behalf of every person who fasts, RAF and Hyatt Plaza will donate QR200 to the people of Africa.

The orientation on Friday will provide an overview about the do’s and don’ts of fasting. It will also have a brief session by Primary Health Care Corporation, where participants can clarify their doubts about the effects of fasting on health. All participants will be invited for an Iftar party on 5 July. The Iftar party will be an interactive session, where participants can share their experience about living a single day without food. There will also be various activities like free henna, face painting for the kids, health checkups by Primary Heath Care Center and more.

‘Guess Who, Guess What’ Ramadan Instagram Competition
QF- InstagramDuring the Holy Month of Ramadan, QF’s ‘Guess Who, Guess What’ competition will celebrate the Foundation’s role in supporting and developing Arab and Islamic innovation. The competition will be hosted daily for the first three weeks of Ramadan on the QF Instagram page. QF’s followers will be asked about famous Islamic scholars and inventors. To answer, participants must leave a comment using the Instagram handle @qatarfoundation. Answers can be given in English or Arabic. The first five followers to comment with the right answer will be declared winners for that day.
