This park was designed, not made. The first thing visitors notice is the quiet. When you’re looking for a spot to rest your weary senses, this is The Best Park Ever. Even on a Thursday evening, when other parks sound like an out of control orphanage, Al Zaghwa remains an auditory oasis. It’s a visual one too. Sidewalks flow in the manner suggestive of Feng Shui. To the right of the park small alcoves with benches are strategically placed for privacy. Other benches are strategically placed for sitting near the playground to the left. The playground is quite small but most of the children run in the soft grass inventing games of their own. Good for body and soul this park would be perfect for catching up with a girlfriend while you stroll the grounds. It is usually only open in the afternoon but the guard indicated that it opens at 6, maybe 7, in the morning. I’ve yet to see that policy in action. Al Zaghwa Park is worth going out of the way for.

TIP: Visit in the evening with a friend
