Mohamed Abu Issa represents Qatar in Dakar 2014
Qatari racer is Mohamed Issa Abu Issa is set to make his first appearance at the Dakar Rally 2014, starting today.
The Rally, an extreme off-road endurance race, has sections that cross dunes, mud, camel grass and other landforms runs for 14 consecutive days, spread over a distance of 8,700 km in three countries – Argentina, Bolivia and Chile.
Representing Qatar in his first Dakar Rally race Abu Issa will be with the MAXXIS SUPER B Dakar team. He is only the second Qatari to participate in the rally; the first being Nasser Al Attiyah.
To be able to participate in the Dakar Rally, Abu Issa entered the cross country rally world championship (quads) and held first spot at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, and second overall at the FIM 6 stage cross country rally world championship in 2013.
