Hammour Fillet with Samke Harra Sauce

Prep Time: 25 minutes      Level of Difficulty: Easy      Serves: 1-2 persons

Ingredients:

For marination:
100g Hammour fish
5ml lemon juice
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

For the sauce:
10g white onions
10g red capsicums
10g green capsicums
10g yellow capsicums
50g peeled tomatoes
2g cumin powder
2g garlic
5ml olive oil
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Walnuts for garnish
Arabic parsley for garnish

Clean and cut the fish into small sizes.

  • Marinate the fish with garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper and olive oil.
  • Sear the fish in a hot pan and cook it on a medium flame. Keep it aside.
  • Slice the onions and capsicums into thin slices.
  • Blend the peeled tomatoes into a puree.
  • Take a pan heat it, pour olive oil and sauté the chopped garlic, sliced onions, sliced peppers, and add tomato puree, cook it.
  • Add salt and pepper, check for the seasoning and pour it on top of the cooked fish. Serve hot.
