Have you sampled Argentinian cuisine before? If not, you can head over to the newly opened  Patagonia restaurant opened at The Pearl-Qatar. Located at 31 La Croisette Porto Arabia, the restaurant offers sumptuous signature dishes which include empanadas, premium meat cuts and the well known dulce del leche with special menus for Argentinean pizzas and beverages. 22 artists, 13 nationalities – but all based in Doha – are having their works exhibited at the Recreation Centre in Qatar Foundation. The third Annual International Artists Doha Exhibition runs with a theme ‘Between Cultures’ and showcases a wide range of styles from realism to abstract. Let your children try their hands or rather “legs” with football. Qatar Foundation has started their ‘Passport to Passion’ weekend sessions that will be held from 3pm to 6pm in various locations around Doha to engage the local community in a variety of football activities and coaching sessions. This weekend (3-4 May) it’s at Aspire Park. Children between five and 15 years of age are invited to attend the session to improve their footballing skills. Click here to read more.

This Thursday, DFI is screening ‘Skateistan – Four Wheels and a Board in Kabul’ at the MIA auditorium in conjunction with Ferozkoh: Tradition and Continuity in Afghan Art, a temporary exhibition at MIA. The film revolves around the founders of Afghanistan’s first skate school and their attempts to transform the community of war-torn Kabul with skateboards and a love for the street.
